Meet Thomas Sanford, MD

Thomas Sanford, MD, is a board-certified neurologist at Riverhills Neuroscience in Ohio. He provides care for patients with a broad range of neurological conditions, with experience focused on general neurology, headaches, and stroke. He sees patients in our Crestview Hills, Kentucky office four days a week and in our Norwood, Ohio office one day a week.

Before joining Riverhills Neuroscience, Dr. Sanford practiced as an outpatient general neurologist at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky. His clinical experience includes administering Botox for migraine, performing greater occipital nerve blocks, and conducting skin biopsies. He also served as Director of General Neurology at Norton Healthcare, contributing to departmental planning related to patient access, service expansion, financial goals, and physician recruitment.

Dr. Sanford completed his neurology residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center following an internal medicine internship at the same institution. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.

Dr. Sanford has been certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2022.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with his dogs.
