Meet Amy Richards Lusk, MSN, APRN-CNP, JD

Amy Richards Lusk, MSN, APRN-CNP, JD, is an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner at Riverhills Neuroscience. She specializes in neurology care for adults and seniors at the practice’s Norwood location in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Before beginning her career in nursing, Amy practiced law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from the University of Cincinnati and attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law in Ohio, where she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD).

Amy returned to school after nearly 10 years as a lawyer and earned her associate’s degree in nursing from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing. She continued her nursing education at the University of Cincinnati and earned her bachelor’s and master’s in nursing there.

Along with her board certification, Amy is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association. She is a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses. In 2016, she was honored as a recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
