Lisa is a front desk receptionist. Her primary location is Anderson, but she also works some days at Dr. Becker’s office, Crestview, and occasionally Norwood.
Lisa has worked for Riverhills since 2004. Before this time, and while her kids were growing up, she worked a variety of part-time jobs. Prior to working at Riverhills she worked as an administrative clerk at an accounting firm. She then went to school for transcription, and began working at Riverhills in this capacity. When the Anderson office needed front desk help, she moved into that full-time role.
Lisa enjoys working with patients. She says it’s most challenging when having to keep a straight face and calm demeanor during an occasional awkward conversation or situation.
Lisa and her husband have 2 grown daughters, and 2 little grand daughters (ages 2 months & 17 months). When not working, or helping care for grandbabies, Lisa enjoys ballroom dancing and hiking. Lisa and her husband have make frequent hiking trips to the Ashville, North Carolina. When Lisa turned 50, she made a “bucket list” trip to the Grand Canyon with her sister and husband. They hiked down into the canyon, where they stayed for 3 days. They completed a hike to 4 separate waterfalls, including a visit the blue green waters of Havasupai Falls. In total, she hiked more than over 20 miles traveling in and out of the canyon
Few may know, Lisa served in the Marine Corp for one tour after High School. Her dad had served, and Lisa remembers hearing those stories growing up. She decided that she also wanted to serve, preferably in a hands-on job right away. Lisa served in the Air Wing, where she repaired aircraft electrical systems.
Lisa has been with Riverhills for almost 12 years. She most appreciates the friendships she has formed, and the many opportunities to share experiences with those friends.
